Hi I'm Claire! Self healing and personal development have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. This has led me on a journey to explore many different healing modalities such as Reiki, Reflexology, Yoga, Meditation, Naturopathy, Indian Head massage and Kirtan (mantra meditation). It is through working on ones own self healing that we can then assist others in their own.
I am a registered Reiki Master practitioner with the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council) and member of the UK Reiki Federation. I have been practising Reiki and Yoga since 2003 and teach Yoga in Bridgend and lead regular workshops in Kirtan (part of the yoga path of love and devotion).
I specialise in Reiki and offer one hour treatments in Bridgend including a free consultation. I aim to bring the person back into a place of balance and to support their own healing. I am able to offer nutritional and lifestyle advice that may support them with this.
Join me and discover for yourself how these practices can heal, transform and find the light within!

I teach hatha and yin styles of yoga with elements of flow and energy work. My classes also include breathing practices (pranayama) and meditation. I hope to create a safe space for all to join me in practice and help to reconnect to our bodies, minds and breath for greater self awareness and healing.
''I would like to thank you for introducing me to yoga. You are an excellent teacher. I have thoroughly enjoyed the classes with you and really felt that I benefited from the practice. I am certainly keen to continue!!''
''So enjoyed the Yin session and kirtan at Parc Slip this evening. Highly recommend it - look forward to the next one.''
Relaxing Yin Yoga Workshop

Yin yoga is based on the Taoist principles of yin and yang which are the opposing and complementary aspects in nature. Yin is the stable, passive and hidden aspect whereas Yang is the dynamic, changing and revealing aspect.
This practice involves a sequence of floor based postures that are held for 3-5minutes each sometimes using blocks, bolsters or blankets to modify a pose to suit your body. This enables the practitioner to slow down and focus on greater self awareness of the sensations in the body and any thoughts or feelings that may arise during the practice. To become the observer of what is arising in the body and not to become involved with it.
Yin yoga is linked to the Chinese Meridian System and allows energy (Chi) to flow more easily through the fascia and connective tissues.
The quiet nature of the practice also gives us space away from external stimuli and noise. This can be of great benefit for anyone who may be suffering from overload, stress or an over active mind but anyone can benefit from this practice.

Kirtan is part of the Bhakti yoga path or the yoga of love and devotion and is a form of meditation. It involves the singing of mantras repetitively which has an uplifting and calming effect on the mind.
You do not need to be a good singer, it is simply singing from the heart. Traditionally the mantras are in Sanskrit but it is not important to know the meaning of the words but the energy and feelings that singing those mantras creates.
It can be a deeply transformative practice and can lead to feelings of joy and peace. The practice is done as a group and scientific research has confirmed that group singing can be hugely benefical for body and mind, increasing happiness and connection with others.
